Hey, I'm Alex
• My name is Alex
• I amをI'mと省略するとGOOD
Hi, I'm Sarah/ I'm Sarah
• Hello
Nice to meet you
• 話し手もNice to meet youと返してもOK!
Me too
• "Nice to meet you"に対してのノーマルな返答

Hi, Thx for the tips on selfintroduction. I've always used "My name is...." instead of I'm.. when I meet someone for the first time. I'm in the habit of saying "My name is " w/o knowing the difference in any situations. I'll be careful abt using it next time. Your good advice always helps me a lot. Thx agn.
Simple is usually better. I was thinking about this more. We might say "My name is.." like this:
If someone asks
"What's your name?" then we'll say either
"My name is Chris" or
"I'm Chris"
