You have to believe you can learn. Nobody can do anything if they don't truly believe they can actually do it. There are tons of people who speak a second language that aren't as smart as you. You can do it.
英語が話せるようになると信じよう。出来ると信じないで実際に出来るようになる人はいません。あなた以外に第二言語を話せる人は世界中にたくさんいます。きっとあなたにだって出来るはず!
Learn lots of words, starting with the most frequently used. Words are the building blocks and are necessary to communicate your ideas. Learning the most frequently used words first will give you the biggest return in the shortest amount of time (see below for the 100 most spoken words). While learning casual and slang words will really help you sound like a native and set you apart from other ESL learners.
たくさん単語を学ぼうーまずは頻出単語からはじめよう。単語は積み木のようなもので、どんどん積み重ねないと意味がありません。また、単語は自分のアイデアをコミュニケーションで伝えるのに必要不可欠です。最も使われている単語(下記の会話における100の頻出単語を参照)から学ぶことで短時間で結果となって帰ってきます。カジュアル単語やスラングを学ぶ事でネイティブ英語に近づき、他の人と差がつきます。
Study situations and phrases, not grammar. Grammar is boring and there are too many exceptions. Native speakers didn't learn to speak by studying grammar, why should you?
文法ではなく、状況とフレーズを勉強しよう。文法はつまらない上に例外がたくさんあります。ネイティブは文法を勉強して話せるようになったわけではありません。だとしたら文法を学ぶべきなのでしょうか?
Watch movies and shows. See native speakers in action. Preferably set in modern times, not too old or futuristic because the language can be different. Also, stay away from themes like sci-fi which will have a lot of words you don't really need or are made up in the movie.
映画やテレビ番組を見よう。映画やテレビを通して生のネイティブを見よう。昔のものや近未来のものは使う言語が違うので避けましょう。SF映画も日常では使わない表現や作られた言葉が出てくるのでお勧めしません。
Find a way to speak. Find native friends or at least speak out loud while watching a movie. You gotta get your tongue and mouth used to moving.
話すチャンスを見つけよう。ネイティブの友達を作ったり、少なくとも映画を観ながら英語を声に出してみよう。舌と口を英語に慣れさせないといけません。
Find a strong reason. Plan a trip to a country that speaks only English or something. You have to have a strong motive and set a time limit to push yourself to learn.
決定的な理由を見つけよう。英語しか通じない国への旅行を計画しよう。何か不動の目標を掲げ、その達成に向けて自分に厳しくしよう。
Have fun. Speaking a second language isn't just a hobby, it's a way of life so make sure you enjoy it.
楽しもう。第二言語を話すのは趣味ではなくあなたの人生です。しっかり楽しむ事を忘れずに!
